Witches Thursday

We had a great night! Go Hinge Pins! Apparently Darren Mackey was most disturbed when some woman came up to him and told him, 'Oh, but you couldn't do it without the crew'. We rule!

Graham spent ages before the show checking out Ralph's flying gear and we must have sussed it because, yippee, yippee, he flew tonight . Sam's face was a picture - she looked as happy as she looked enthralled when the witches were flying. She's like a kid at Christmas behind that sofa. All went well on the flying front tonight. The wires came down properly, were dispatched properly and clipped on properly. Nicely done Sam, Ken and Tom. Very stressful and you did great.

The house on SR was broken last night - it wasn't that Glenn and I hadn't set the brakes properly. Gus and Ken fixed it tonight and we rolled it around a treat. No chance that it was going to kill an audience member tonight. We had our lucky pin in tonight, to rid us of the curse of JB, and because Bethan was there all was well. There was a laughter incident on SR though involving Dennis. After I'd said, 'Tennis goes on now, and when tennis comes off…', Glenn, with a very puzzled expression, said, 'Who's Dennis?' I admit that you had to be there, but Sam and I fell about laughing. Dennis? What the hell is he on about? Doesn't Valleys Favourite know all the crew members by now? If there was someone called Dennis on SR, he hasn't exactly done much.

Valleys Favourite didn't get to make and appearance to the audience tonight, but Bethan and I did. On we went with the bloody bench, and before we'd even got on stage, Greg kindly lit us up. According to Becky, my face was a picture. I'm not bloody surprised! Greg has finally admitted that he has an aversion to bench cues, so that's the disease of the week as we're missing Gavin's sightline disorder and Graham's OCD on SR.

SL behaved remarkably well this evening, and nothing has been brought to my attention, apart from the fact that Uncle Mike dropped his 'communication device' (his words, not mine) on the way on to set the altar, so could hear nothing from Greg, and there the pack stayed until the end of the show. Fair play, SL have been back and forth helping us, so the least we could do was send Sarah around to get the ironing board off stage. Ken made us his lush pasties for tonight as well, which was massively appreciated. Yum, yum - you missed a treat, those of you who didn't have one.

Greg did a nice strip for us tonight and called cues with his top off, with luminous green crosses on his nipples. We did try to hide his shirt from him, but some sad bastard gave it back. No sexy red pants tonight, but sexy chest instead. Talking of sex, I think that we need a word with Gavin. His missus, Sarah, told me tonight that she was going to take it behind because it was easier like that. She's definitely a Hinge Pin - no treasury-tag status for her!

Nice one everyone, all 17 of you. Good job!
