Witches Friday
Friday? Last night of Witches. What can I say? It was great. Everyone flew, even Ralph, and we were all amazingly relieved. It's Sunday as I'm writing this, and I can't remember much about it, but I do remember Sam and the cello getting tied up in a gauze. Even the picket fence went on stage tonight, courtesy of Andrew, and Greg didn't light us up on a single bench cue.
Obviously, the big deal of the night was get out, which I'm told went on until 2 a.m.. (Graham and Meinir apologise for leaving at 12, but had a long journey the next day to look at a pub in League of Gentlemen country.) Never before have the pins done a get out which involved emptying the truck first or witnessed the police arresting a drunk who had allegedly tried to steal the truck. (My solicitor has advised me to include 'allegedly'.) We emptied the truck and then set about getting the two door units out. Well, if they weren't wrecked on the way in, they certainly are now. Worryingly, we heard Andrew take a hacksaw to something! There were also lots of shouts of 'Who killed Kenny?' and 'Bastards' as Ken was jammed in the corner behind the unit, but he apparently doesn't mind having his arm trapped.
We had lots of extra pins on Friday, so thanks to Rob and Nicola who'd turned up for get out, and to Charlotte Freeman (nee Hearn) who made a return for one-night only. Thanks for all your help guys and we promise, Rob, that all get outs are not like that! Also, thanks to Kay and Rhys who were in the cast for their help. (No, Gav, that's not a dig at you - you had a perfect right to go and get pissed, and your wife made up for your absence! Go Sarah!) If I've forgotten anyone, I'm really sorry, but I've slept since then.
Good show everyone and let's get as many people as possible in for the AGM on 11 June
