The Hinge Pins Year A short poem

2006 and nine shows we have done, Measure For Measure a play by the bard,

Whilst working hard, but having some fun It was in the bar, it wasn't to hard

Silent and quick as we move in the black, When Gav is about, chaos is certain

Carrying on sets, then bringing them back When he fell through a door and ripped

  down the curtain

  The audience laughed and he looked a fool,

Robinson Crusoe The Panto, was the first, As Tom fixed the curtain with his multi-tool

The show brought back Lynchie's acting thirst,

Envious of the dame , right from the start, Scrooge then chased up money owing,

He managed to get on dressed as a tart, Starring hingepin and valleys favourite Glenn Bowen,

Elaine, impressed with his dancing technique, Kay was dragged from her apple cart

Has given him a part in the Panto next week. To become SM right from the start

  The crewing went like a dream

Calamity Jane with Treorchy Comp. School    Until Daniel Black's face was covered in cream

Where we saw Daniel Black acting the fool,

Something happened in this show which ws really rare, The Wizard of OZ finished the year,

Actors that listen!,not usually found in the Park and Dare With a scare crow who was ginger and a little bit

  queer

They listened to the crew all through the night, Valleys favourite dressed as a crow,

Plus there were some smart teachers on stage right. As Dorothy's house rolled towards the front row

  With the speed and agility of a sloth,

A Hingepin appeared in Me and My Girl, Sam got hit in the face by a cloth.

Gersch fancied it and gave it a whirl,

Dressed as a butler in his undertaker suit,    To all the Pins who have worked this year

The family solicitor really was a hoot, I wish you all great Christmas Cheer,

His dancing was ropey, but he didn't care, Our reputation has grown near and far

The mighty pins laughed, watching the Big Bear. From me "Thank You" and from Kay "Ta"

Selsig Then brought us Jekyll and Hyde,

Fire on stage and a lot more beside, In a rush I forgot one ,Theatre Group

We worked really hard to set up the lab For Oklahoma, to the P&D we did troop,

All of the audience thought it was fab, Again we worked hard for Laurie and Curly

Test tubes containing toxic water, made us think I wish we could have all left early!

"Has he really had the right drink?" And In the the words of Elaine Andrews

  You are no doubt the best stage crew!

Titanic came next delivered by Spotlight,

The set was huge and gave us a fright,

Graham was serious, not acting the goat,

As he tried to sink the bloody great boat,

The show ran well, the cast thought so,

But not for Graham, who broke his toe!
