Seven Brides For Seven Brothers

Well here it is a week’s review, being a turn and the dance captain, it is difficult to write what happens backstage. However, I made a few observations of the week.

I won’t lie to you but it’s a bugger of a set, with a multitude of cloths to fly in.

The crew built the set in pretty quick time and the turns were able to have a technical run through on the Sunday. Spotlight having a technical? I hear you ask, yes it is true.

With Dr.Prosser as SM and Elphaba, sorry, Kay and Andrew as the Asm’s we were in capable hands. Talking of Andrew, I honestly believe that his farting is more in tune than the trumpeter on Friday, I think he should sit in the pit tonight and parp out “Bless Your Beautiful Hide”.

Gus love him has had a bit of a mare on the flying, ably assisted by Rhydian, (no its true his brother is also called Rhydian). For some reason the tree cloth did not want to go in or out all week, and echo pass totally disappeared one night. But to top it off, a bit of conduit fell out of the cloth on Thursday night, as it was being taken out. It nearly hit Andrew in the head, but luckily enough it missed him, otherwise if it had hit his head it would have severely damaged the conduit.

Richard Morgan, who has had a cracking week, decided that he would help out the crew, and thinking that he was taking a barrel on, picked up a speaker and tried to take it on stage, luckily enough, the crew(who were laughing their nuts off) managed to stop him.

There have been minor problems during the week, Sam’s bulb blew up in her followspot, some problems with the Mic’s, but it is confirmed that Gav and Dales wigs are giving off too much static and that may be the cause. And to top the week off, Sarah, having one of her regular blonde moments said to Ade hust before the show started one night “Have you got a wig on Ade?”, Ade was most offended.

Finally a big thanks to all the crew for a bloody good but hard week.
