Saturday,Monday and Dress of blood brothers
Well, here we are for the play set in the City that brought us The Beatles,Cilla Black and Colleen Rooney. The hardypins turned up Saturday to get some of the set in, and by damn is it heavy. Made from the heaviest wood possible. A spot of light rigging completed the day, with Gav trying to cut gels and being criticised for being to slow.
Monday was spent plotting the lighting cues, and boy was it long, 20 minutes to decide how far across stage the house should be lit!
Matt's lighting plan was spot on and very detailed as requested in meetings, which helped. After a swift couple in the Stag, we looked forward to the Dress Rehearsal.
It would have started on time, but a couple of the turns were late, usually they are waiting for us!.
The scene changes, although heavy, were done really well, I thought, and the highlight of the night was watching Sarah, fluff up the cushions on the settee, as Andy was telling me that the sound was running out, and I wanted to call the next cue. Apparently, Karly had to stop her taking on the vacuum cleaner in the next house scene!
Gav's antics with projection came back, as he pressed the right button instead of the left, which caused much guffawing from Graham and Sam, so much so that he gave a go instead of a standby, lighting the crew.
The telephone kiosk was requested after being told that it was not needed in rehearsals!
Sam was overworked on the followspot, and was very tired by the end.
Overall I was quite pleased way the way it went, and a big thank you to all who have helped out.
Oh, apparently one of the turns thought that we were in the way..solution..ask us to move, simple.
Couple of posers.
1.Will Gav get his projection right?
2.Will Sarah make sure the house is nice and clean tonight?
3.Will the sound effects sound like a cash machine again?
4.Is it me or has Mickey got a hell of a tan considering its Liverpool.
All the best for the rest of the week
