Constitution

1. We are called The Hingepins

2. Our purposes are:

The Hinge Pins Stage Crew is a group of people with a love for local theatre. Our aim is to supply stage crew for local amateur theatre companies, to help them produce slick professional shows

3. Membership is open to all, a membership fee of £1 shall be payable on joining. Members under the age of 16 will need to be supervised by a responsible adult, to be arranged with the Chairperson.

4. The following officers shall be elected at each AGM;

Chair

Secretary

Treasurer

Vice chair

Social Secretary

The committee shall consist of the above officers

5. The committee shall only take decisions when at least three officers are present

6. An AGM shall be held each year not later than two months after the end of the financial year, which shall be the 31st December each year. The committee shall give not less than 21 calendar days notice of the date fixed for an AGM. A Quorum at the AGM shall be six members.

7. At the AGM any other business shall be at the discretion of the Chairperson.

8. Two auditors shall be appointed at the AGM or failing that by the committee. Audited accounts shall be presented at the AGM for approval by the members.

9. This constitution may be amended by a motion passed at an AGM by at least two thirds of the members present at the meeting.

10. A Special General Meeting shall be called at the request of 3 officers or any 6 members of the Society, giving not less than 7 days notice. A Quorum at the SGM shall be six members.

11. Should The Hingepins cease to exist any residual funds shall be paid to any amateur dramatic group in the Rhondda.

12. Expenditure has to be authorised by 2 out of 3 authorised signatories.
