Les Mis Tuesday
The opening night of Les Mis, was without a doubt a superb show. Matt and Bubs had worked throughout the day, plotting the lights, although Matt was still plotting at 6.15pm. The show opened and it ran really well.
Matt had a few problems with the Paul Daniels Lighting desk which kept making cues disappear. The crew got caught in the light a couple of times, which was in between the normal stage right show ritual of farting. Even Tall Tom was getting in on the act, wafting his wind towards one of the teachers, much to the amusement of Andrew and Budji. Nice to see Medium, not abusing teachers for a change, even when he had to tell them not to take a real knife on stage.
Greg’s dimmer on his followspot, was playing up and kept switching off during the first act, this didn’t spoil his, Suzi and Gav’s enjoyment of Cue bingo being called by Rhys “Anyone got cue 136? Etc”, Gav was sweating on one for a line, while Greg needed one for a full house.
The fly boys again made the suicide scene look good, along with some flashy lighting.
Well done to all involved, both on and off stage.
Couple of Posers
1.Will Suzi cry at the end again?
2.Will Enjerolas manage to get on stage tonight?
3.Will the mics play up again?
4.Will the VIP’S make it back on time tonight, after their Lambrini and Pringle reception.
Have a good un kids
