Beauty Thursday

The second night of Beauty and the Beast, and a bit of a panic as we were a bit short of crew. Ade had Man Flu and was missed stage right. Medium ran about from the flys to followspot to stage right to stage left.

The show ran really well, with all the cues done efficiently. Sarah put the plinth on the wrong way so you could read the word “Back” on the side of it. Not as bad as Medium facing it towards the audience in a previous show.

Julia, having gained full Hingepin status, was parading round in her new fleece, really proud that she had finally reached an elite level. Then what happened? Her mobile phone went off back stage! Schoolboy error ! She was grassed up by Ali. She thought that she had got away with it, but even Michelle Diamond heard the tones of Wicked filtering from backstage into the auditorium.

Nice to see Larry the Lobster making a welcome return to the stage, and Shuvva the fairy god squirrel made his debut. He has been dressed up by Julia and Reaa
